1977 Ferrari 308GTB Rare Color Restored
This is a 4 owner car sold originally at Ron Tonkin Ferrari in Oregon. Warranty card has Ron Tonkin as the sales person. I had contact with the second owner and the 3rd owner. Has undergone a 5 year restoration process. It is a bare metal respray with over 1500 hours just in paint prep and painting, in making sure the car was perfect. There is over 2500 hours in the whole restoration with this car.
It had a service in June of 2019 by Ferrari Technology in Orange, CA to make sure the car is absolutely ready for the next owner. It was going to the North West Region Ferrari show in Portland, OR this year but it was cancelled of course. Feel it would have won best in 308 class, at a minimum.
Very rare color – Azzuro Metallica 106-A-32 Verified as well Interior color is Sabbia 3234 with blue carpets.
Interior has been restored with new leather on the seats and door panels, dash and other parts. I didn’t replace the console vinyl, or the door pocket vinyl as they were in good condition and wanted to save some of the original items.
I have 2- 3″ binders of pictures of the restoration and 1-3″ binder with documents. Documents from the sale from owner 2 to owner 3, receipts of what was purchased for the car, at least most of them. Wheels were refinished this spring with single stage paint (as factory) and I was able to find an artist to do the labels on the weeks, these are not stickers but paint as again per the factory.
New Coker, Michelin tires are installed with the wheel dimension above the Ferrari on the wheels, on each and every tire. I located new valve stems as well, so they are Ferrari and are era correct.
Upgrades: Birdman Fuse Blocks, Birdman window regulators – go up and down fast and are way better. Upgraded radiator cooling fans, Retro-Air AC system (per mechanic at Ferrari Tech said coldest AC in a 308 he has ever felt). Antenna works and operates as it should (very rare to have). Fixed original very hard to do.
Other items: Ansa exhaust, Brake calipers rebuilt, rotors and pads all new. All new gaskets for windows etc. Service completed June/July 2019. Includes 4 piece luggage set, was blessed by Mario Andretti.
