1978 is the first year for the iconic 308 GTS. Offer for only two years with a carbureted V8 engine. Based on their rarity, they have become the most desirable and valuable of the GTS’s. This Black on Black example is highly original and recently had a major service. The previous owner spent $10,000 to bring this car up to date. The only mechanical item that has yet to be completed is Air Conditioning. In the past week, we have driven this 308 over 100 miles and are happy to report that it runs and drives beautifully and reliably. The paint on this 308 GTS is beautiful. The black finish is deep and lustrous. There are however some burn marks that will need attention to being this car to the next level of quality. Inside, the dash has no warping or cracking. It’s in beautiful condition. The seats do have patina from wear. They are in good shape but will need to be refinished. There are no rips or tears, just wear on the leather.
